In Brief
The Government of Andhra Pradesh sought review of an earlier Supreme Court judgment that affirmed a Single Judge's order requiring demarcation of a land plot in Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. The Supreme Court clarified and reaffirmed its position: the plot (Survey No. 129/45/D) undoubtedly exists, as established by a High Court judgment and multiple Government orders spanning decades. The Court rejected a subsequent Committee Report that contradicted the Single Judge's directions and ordered the Government to demarcate the land within eight weeks strictly according to the original directions, with compliance to be reviewed thereafter."
