In Brief
Ram Gopal filed a Review Petition more than six years after the original Special Leave Petition decision. The review petition sought condonation of the 2323-day delay in filing. The Supreme Court examined the explanation offered for the delay and found it unsatisfactory. Accordingly, both the application for condonation of delay and the review petition itself were rejected. The Court reaffirmed that extraordinary delay in review petitions requires a compelling and satisfactory explanation to be condoned.
