Rattan Bansal & Ors vs Vishranti City Residents Welfare & Ors

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

In this civil appeal, the Supreme Court found that the High Court had passed orders with adverse consequences against the appellants without providing them a hearing. Following a similar judgment of the same date, the Court allowed the appeal and remitted the matter to the High Court with directions to hear the appellants afresh and pass fresh orders in accordance with natural justice principles. The appellants were impleaded as additional respondents, and an interim order granted on 07.10.2016 was extended. The High Court was requested to decide the matter expeditiously within three months.
