Multiple civil appeals arising from special leave petitions were filed by appellants claiming continuance in government service up to 60 years of age. The Supreme Court granted leave and allowed the petitions to proceed. However, the appeals were disposed of by reference to a related batch judgment dated 9 August 2017 (Civil Appeal No. 10273/2017) which had already addressed the substantive issue of service continuance age. No reporter citation appeared in the judgment.
