In Brief
The Supreme Court granted Special Leave Petitions against a High Court order dated 23 June 2022 but rejected an Interim Application by a non-party to the underlying civil suit, holding that such applicant lacked standing. While the High Court order's operation was stayed—notwithstanding the original meeting had already occurred—because further proceedings would follow from it, the Court permitted a subsequent General Council meeting scheduled for 11 July 2022 to proceed lawfully. The Single Judge on the Original Side retained authority to examine other interim relief matters independently of the Supreme Court pendency.
