Vishal Goyal vs Vishranti City Residents Welfare Society & Ors

Bench: 2 — Kurian

In Brief

The appellant sought to challenge a High Court order from July 2016 but had not sought impleadment or formal intervention in the original proceedings. The Supreme Court found the appellant likely to suffer adverse consequences from the order. Rather than dismiss the appeal, the Court allowed it partially by directing the appellant to file for impleadment within two weeks and to seek modification of the impugned order. The Court requested the High Court to consider both applications and pass fresh orders within three months, with interim relief continuing in the interim. No costs were awarded.
