These consolidated civil appeals involved original owners challenging land acquisition proceedings under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. The respondents (original owners) contended that neither possession was taken nor compensation was paid to them.
