Delhi Development Authority sought to acquire land under the RFCTLARR Act, 2013. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal, holding that the issue was already covered against the Authority by earlier judgments on Section 24(2) compliance. However, the Court granted the Authority six months to initiate fresh acquisition proceedings by issuing a statutory Notification. If no proceedings commenced within six months, the Authority was directed to return the land to its owner. No costs were awarded against either party.
