Harvinder Singh challenged the compensation awarded in land acquisition proceedings before the High Court of Punjab and Haryana. Finding that multiple related matters had been remitted to the High Court and were pending there with the agreement of both parties, the Supreme Court exercised its discretion to remit this appeal as well to the High Court for fresh, consolidated consideration alongside the connected matters. The Court directed no orders as to costs and disposed of the appeal by remand.
