The Land Acquisition Collector and others appealed against the dismissal of land acquisition proceedings concerning property held by Harmony Properties Pvt. Ltd. The Supreme Court noted that the Delhi Development Authority's appeals in the same matter had already been dismissed with liberty to file fresh acquisition proceedings within one year under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. Accordingly, the Court dismissed these appeals as well, maintaining the liberty granted to the Authority to pursue fresh acquisition within the prescribed timeframe.
