In Brief
In this land acquisition appeal, the Court examined whether a claimant could seek enhancement of compensation based on parity with awards given to similarly situated landowners. The Court held that comparably placed land owners are entitled to equal compensation. However, the Court denied interest for the period during which the claimant unreasonably delayed in approaching the Court. The appeal was partly allowed, the Reference Court's award was restored, but without interest on the enhanced compensation and statutory amounts for the period of litigation delay.">
