In this appeal concerning land acquisition compensation, the Court applied the principle of parity. Since this Court had previously enhanced compensation by Rs. 1,00,000 per acre in Paramjit Panag & Ors. v. State of Punjab (a similar matter), the appellants were granted the same additional amount over the High Court's award. The Court also confirmed entitlement to statutory benefits, excluding periods of delay. The appeal was partly allowed and disposed of without costs."
