In Brief
The Delhi Development Authority appealed against a dismissal concerning land acquisition under the 2013 RFCTLARR Act. The Court found the issue was already settled by two prior judgments and dismissed the appeal. However, recognizing the case's unique circumstances, it gave the DDA until 31 December 2017 to start fresh acquisition proceedings with proper notification. If no proceedings were initiated by then and the DDA held possession, it would be required to return the land to the original owner. No costs were awarded.
