In this matrimonial dispute, husband and wife sought divorce by mutual consent through the Supreme Court. After appearing before the Supreme Court Mediation Centre, they amicably settled all disputes under a comprehensive settlement agreement dated 15 February 2021, with the husband paying Rs. 90 lakh as full and final settlement. The Court, exercising its power under Article 142 of the Constitution, accepted the settlement, granted the decree of divorce dissolving the marriage solemnized on 12 December 2008, and accepted the parties' undertaking not to initiate further legal action against each other. All pending cases between them were quashed and disposed of accordingly."
